Maarit Kalmakurki, MA & Scenographer Doctoral Candidate at Aalto University

Maarit Kalmakurki, MA, is a scenographer and has designed costumes and sets for various theatre and opera productions. Her diverse research interests combine stage and film costume history, dress history and the use of digital tools in design processes. Maarit currently finalises a doctoral dissertation at Aalto University, which investigates the notions of digital character’s costume design in computer-animated feature films.
